Ingredients
- 675 gm Fillet or rump steak
- 2 tblsp Olive oil
- 2 Fresh red chilies, sliced
- 225 gm Fresh mushrooms (Shiitake), sliced
Dressing
- 3 Spring onions, finely chopped
- 2 Garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 tblsp Lime juice
- 2 tblsp Fish Sauce
- 1 tsp Soft brown sugar
- 2 tblsp Fresh coriander leaf, finely chopped
To Serve
- 1 Cod lettuce, torn into strips
- 175 gm Cherry tomatoes, halved
- 50 mm Cucumber, halved and finely sliced
- 3 tblsp Toasted sesame seeds
Method
Preheat the grill to medium and cook the steak for 4 minutes each side. Leave to cool for 15 minutes.
Slice the beef as thin as possible and place in a bowl.
Heat the oil in a small frying pan, add the chilies and mushrooms and stir fry for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat, add the beef slices and mix well.
Make the dressing by mixing all the ingredients thoroughly then add to the beef and mushrooms. Toss gently.
Arrange the lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber on a dish and add the beef and mushrooms. Sprinkle with the sesame seeds and serve immediately. |
